The Health Facilities Association of Maryland (HFAM) is a voluntary not-for-profit association comprised of skilled nursing and rehabilitation centers, assisted living communities, and associate businesses that serve our provider members. HFAM members provide services and employ individuals in nearly every jurisdiction of the state.
The mission of HFAM is to innovatively lead the long-term care community by protecting and enhancing quality long-term care for Marylanders in need. We are committed to developing public policies that support quality care and enhance quality of life.
HFAM represents the long-term care community to the state government, elected and appointed officials, business leaders, and the general public. By providing education and data-based information, we advocate on behalf our members on legislative, regulatory, and public affairs priorities. Together with our members, we work to put a face to quality care that includes workers, patients and residents, and families.
HFAM is a state affiliate of the American Health Care Association/National Center for Assisted Living (AHCA/NCAL), which represents more than 14,000 facilities nationwide.
