Health Facilities Association of Maryland
Founded in 1948, the Health Facilities Association of Maryland has been a leader and advocate for Maryland’s long-term care provider community for more than sixty years. Over 150 providers, 19,000 employees and annually more than 25,000 Marylanders in need entrust HFAM to be their partner in quality care.
HFAM represents every type of long-term care provider, including assisted living, sub-acute, rehabilitation and skilled nursing facilities. HFAM’s membership ranges from small, local, family-owned independent nursing facilities to faith-based nonprofit organizations to the state’s and country’s largest multi-national corporations. HFAM facilities are found in every community, county and city across Maryland.
Maryland’s long-term care provider community directly supports an estimated $3.7 billion in state economic activity and serves as a major job-creator and economic engine. Long-term care is one of the leading employment centers and health care employment training hubs in communities across Maryland. We are a critical component in Maryland’s health care system.
