Person-Centered Engagement  and the New Federal Regulations

CMS released its first major overhaul of the Rules for Participation in the Medicare program in over 30 years. The three-phase roll-out began in 2016, with the bulk of the Rules for Participation coming into effect November 28, 2017. Phase 2 represents the majority of changes including significant re-numbering and several new Regulations. Reference to “Activities” has been written into over 50 Federal Tags both directly and indirectly.
Focus areas of this program include:

•    F-Tag 680 “Qualification of the Activity Director”
•    The New Survey Process
•    The Facility Assessment
•    Recommended Best Practices

Program Approved for 6.5 continuing education credits for Nursing Home Administrators, Assisted Living Managers, Social Works and Actvity Directors.
