This program will cover interrelated topics involving work related injuries that health care providers are seeing in the workplace. Discussion will cover prevention, partnership with medical providers, and managing injuries to help optimize outcomes.

• Managing an Aging Workforce
  • This session will feature a discussion on specific physiological changes that occur with aging and the types of environmental and administrative controls that can be put into place to help prevent injuries.
• Partnering With Your Occupational Medicine Provider
  • You will learn how to interface with your provider to help ensure optimal outcomes when an injury does occur.
• Managing Lost Time Injuries
  • This session will cover how best to manage injuries that take workers out of the workplace.
• Telemedicine in Occupational Medicine
  • A discussion regarding a new approach to managing work related injuries, which is telemedicine.  Although telemedicine has been established in urgent care type situations it is now expanding into occupational medicine.
