How to Become a Member

There are two categories of membership in HFAM, facility member and associate member.  Since HFAM is a trade association and not a professional association, a member is defined as a company not an individual.  Therefore, when an organization joins the association, all of that company's employees can take full advantage of membership benefits.  Also, when a healthcare facility joins HFAM, the company is automatically a member of the American Health Care Association (AHCA).

    Facility Member
The first and foremost category of membership is the health care facility.  Comprehensive, sub-acute, transitional care, assisted living, and residential care facilities are all examples of a Facility Member.

    Associate Member
The second type of membership is an Associate Member.  This type of membership was created for individuals and companies that supply goods or services to health care facilities or that simply have a professional interest in long-term health care.
