HFAM is the Health Facilities
Association of Maryland.
A voluntary, non-profit trade association,
HFAM was chartered in 1948 and is Maryland's leading long-term care
association.
Directly representing over 150 licensed nursing homes
in
Maryland, HFAM collectively
serves its members through
communication and cooperation with more than 30 state, county
and local governmental agencies. Our members consist of comprehensive nursing, assisted
living, sub-acute, and transitional care units, all fully
licensed in Maryland. Every type of ownership is represented -
from individual and multi-facility to nonprofit, church and
government.
HFAM is an information and education
source to its members, vendors and
consultants to the long-term care industry, the public, the media,
and the government. Through
its publications, services and seminars, HFAM performs a vital
function in keeping its members informed about laws and regulations
affecting the long-term health care community.
The
Mission of HFAM is to lead, promote and represent providers and
affiliate organizations so that they may deliver quality long-term
care services with integrity and economic viability in a dignified
and secure environment.
